Success Isn't Achieved Overnight

It is a common belief among people that highly successful individuals are naturally talented and lucky and as such, their long term success and fortunes they enjoy are percieved to come at absolutely no cost.

It is also naturally typical to get carried away with such thoughts and eventually get trapped in the notion that we may never attain similar heights as a result of the disadvantage of not being as lucky as those who have amazing lives as a result of their success stories

Frankly, the truth of the matter is that no one is born successful. We all came into life clueless and had to take up responsibility of figuring out for ourselves what we really want to do with our time here.

Agreed, some people are born with a silver spoon or into a favorable environment of some sort that enhances the pursuit of their dreams as they grow up,

More-so, it may be easier for some than it is for others, but that doesn’t take away the fact that behind every success story lies intention, effort, sweat, hard work and determination.

As earlier mentioned, some have to push harder than the others to get through the hurdles in order to realize the success that they crave, but its all part of the entire process of achieving anything that we want to achieve as humans.

It is disingenuous to think, at any point in time at all, that success on any level can be experienced through wishful thinking.

There's a generic kind of optimism that keeps people believing that someday success will come knocking on their door and of course they’d welcome her with open arms and live happily ever after..... Unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way.

Success stories always have something along the lines of;

“I made up my mind to keep moving forward regardless of what life was going to throw in my way"

"I was conscious of the fact that it wasn’t going to be a smooth ride, but I was too determined to be discouraged"

"I knew the possibilities of having to try more than once were real, but no amount of setbacks would keep me from realizing my dreams”

You are very less likely to come across a successful person who tells you that they achieved their dreams by blind optimism, waiting for the day that nature suddenly decided to smile on them and grant all their dreams in one swift magic moment.

People who have pulled off their dreams have had to experience some sort of luck or fortune that would mark a significant turn or moment in their journey, but those lucky moments didn’t just come, they earned it.

How did they do this?

They kept working, kept pushing and refused to let themselves down even when everyone else thought they were insane, and then one day, out of the blues, arrived  the moment they’ve been working day and night for.

At that point, of course, all the blood, sweat and tears are ignored by society and everyone focuses on the grandeur of what they succeeded in achieving. Thinking to themselves how lucky these successful people are to be the model of attraction upon which the entire world stands in admiration.

Everyone else but the successful knows that it had to come at a cost.

What cost?

Sacrificing a whole lot of their comfort, time and resources to see that the achievement of their goals becomes a reality, and eventually, it happens, regardless of how much time it takes,

It is thus, necessary to see success in that regard, as something to be earned rather than waited upon without having to lift a finger.

It's Taophieyc!
