At one point or the
other no matter a person's choice of faith, we all have come across this
phrase..."Love your neighbour as yourself". But how many of us have
taken time out to truly reflect on the actual meaning of this golden rule?

Time To Embrace The Thought of Death
Death is one event we cannot play mind
games with. It is inevitable. We can’t even have proper knowledge of how or
when it’s going to hit us, until the very final moments when it’s almost too
late to put anything in order or say the necessary goodbyes.

Error, After Error
Often, we are in situations where we have to make decisions,
no matter how small or insignificant they (those decisions) might seem at the
time. In these moments, we tend to make ourselves feel whatever decisions we
take are the best for us. Subsequently, these decisions affect the outcome
of events after they come into play which in turn informs us of how we've fared.

Well, It's Just Not Enough To Want It!!
Ask just about anyone what they want in life and you will not be disappointed at all. Every sane individual seems to have a list that runs into tens and possibly hundreds of items. But, unfortunately, it doesn’t just end there as you also get bombarded with equal number of reasons none of those dreams have yet to come to life.

DOUBT WHOM YOU WILL, BUT NEVER YOURSELF.
The elimination of doubt in the pursuit of goals can be equated to filling a car’s fuel tank to the brim before embarking on a long journey. Failure to do so sets the car up for the inevitable, which, of course, is inability to get to the proposed destination in due time.

Add The Nifty, Subtract The Noise
When it comes to knowing what’s best for others and understanding what needs to be done to fix a problem, everyone tends to think they have an idea on how it works. But the fact is that the majority don’t know jack about most, if not all, of the things they try to offer solutions to.

Success Isn't Achieved Overnight
It is a common belief among people that highly successful individuals are naturally talented and lucky and as such, their long term success and fortunes they enjoy are percieved to come at absolutely no cost.

So You Think You Have Time?
We are naturally programmed to think that we have plenty of time to throw away, but the honest truth is that we don’t.
Nature is technically programmed to ensure that time doesn’t stop running, but how much we make of the hours at our disposal is entirely dependent on our consciousness of how necessary it is to sit up and ensure that every minute is spent productively.

You're Better Off Alone!
I'm no love expert but, honestly, it doesn't take a genius to recognize a grubby and squalid relationship.
A relationship can be said to be a connection between two people and their involvement with one another, especially as regards the way they behave toward and feel about eachother. Underline the word 'connection'. Trouble usually starts when the two parties involved begin to show their differences.

The Fallacy of Hasty Generalization
Dear It's Taophieyc reader,
Today, let's talk about a topic of statistics which is now very interwoven with our everyday life. I didn't even realize there was a term for this phenomenon until I heard it in a vox-pop video I saw on youtube.
First and foremost, a fallacy is a mistaken belief, especially one based on unsound argument.
As explained by Wikipedia, hasty generalization is an informal fallacy generalization by reaching an inductive generalization based on insufficient evidence- essentially making a hasty conclusion without considering all the variables. In statistics, it may involve basing broad conclusions regarding the statistics of a survey from a small sample group that fails to sufficiently represent an entire population.
The fallacy is also known as: Illicit Generalization, Fallacy of Insufficient Sample, Generalization from the Particular, Leaping to a Conclusion, Hasty Induction, Law of Small Numbers, Secundum quid.

About Neutrality and "Sitting on the fence"
Hello
dear reader,
On this
post, I want to share my view on neutrality or what you can call ‘sitting on
the fence’.
Wiktionary
defines neutrality as the state or quality of being neutral; the condition of being unengaged in contests between others; the state of taking no side on either side; indifference.
Wikipedia describes "Sitting on the fence" as a common idiom used in English to describe one's neutrality or hesitance to choose between two sides in an argument or a competition, or inability to decide due to lack of courage. This is done either in order to remain on good terms with both sides, or due to apathy to the situation and not wanting to choose a position with which one doesn't actually agree.

"Been Long You Saw Me......"
HELLO awesome readers...............!!!,
Where do I start from sef? Well well well.....Let me begin by apologizing for being away for such a loooong time. I've been preoccupied by a lot of sturvs. Beht I'm back now. I think its a little late to say 'Happy New Year' but I'm sure its still in order to wish you all a happy new month.
2016, as young as it is, has been a year so full of drama. From politics to the entertainment industry et cetera, et cetera. Dasuki is a name Nigerians won't forget in history. The name needs no introduction, so I see no reason we should spend time on his matter.
The drama between two of Naija's A-list artistes and record label CEOs on new year day sef wont be forgotten. You all kuku know the people I'm talking about; ace producer Don Jazzy and Eyan Mayweather himself, Olamide Baddo.

Like Play, Like Play
Like play, like play the year 2015 is coming to an end. When did we start sef? I mean January still feels like yesterday. We cant but give thanks to God for sparing us and ours. Today is the last day in the month of November and in a matter of hours, we'll be screaming "Happy new month".
I haven't been constant like I really want to be but well, na small by small.
Straight to fuel talks. Abeg, how much is fuel in your area? This fuel palava ehn...no be from here. People have to queue up at filling stations to buy fuel at ridiculous prices.

Polyamory
According to Wikipedia, polyamory is the practice, desire, or acceptance of intimate relationships that are
not exclusive with respect to other sexual or intimate relationships,
with knowledge and consent of everyone involved. It has been described as "consensual, ethical, and responsible non-monogamy", and may or may not include polysexuality.
In simple terms. polyamory is a situation where you're in an intimate relationship with more than one person at a time. Take for instance, you're dating Dammy, Helen and say Halimah all at once but with the consent of each and everyone involved and is quite different from what you may call 'double-dating' (or multiple dating as the case may be).

The Cold Hands
Sometimes, you just sit there and stare into empty space. Its not like you don't have stuff to do but your mind is so far away from where you're sitting (or standing as the case may be). The rationale behind this kinda mood ranges from finance to family issues and the list can go on and on. Death, to me, is the worst of them all.
